A tool is listed on a recipe only if the recipe genuinely needs it — a thermometer for frying at temperature, a press for a Cubano, a mortar for som tam — or if it removes real tedium from a job the recipe asks you to do repeatedly. We describe the category and what it has to do, not a single model we insist on.

If a recipe works with what is already in your kitchen, that is what the recipe says. The best outcome of a tools module is often that you close it and carry on.

No brand pays to appear here. Nobody buys a slot, a ranking, a mention, or a rewrite of a recipe around their product, and we accept no free samples in exchange for coverage. Commissions, where they exist, are earned after the fact on a purchase you chose to make — they never decide what gets recommended.

Our one configured partner is the Amazon Associates programme. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Prices and availability shown on Amazon are theirs, not ours, and change without notice.

One honest technicality: a product link is built as an Amazon search for the tool we described, and our associate tag is not configured yet. Until it is, those links are live but untracked — no purchase made through them is attributed to us and no commission is currently earned. We are publishing the disclosure ahead of the tag rather than the other way round, and this page is updated the day that changes.

The link takes you off stackandtossed.com. We send nothing about you with it: the URL carries the search term for the tool and, once configured, a partner tag that identifies us — never anything that identifies you. We set no cookie for it and receive no report naming who clicked or what they bought.

The ad slots on this site are placeholders. They reserve their space so nothing shifts later, and they load no script, no iframe, and no third-party request. Before any real ad or affiliate tag may run in one, it has to clear two gates: your consent, and a performance check that keeps it from spending the page’s loading budget before the content has rendered.

Three rules bound the commercial layout, and they are not negotiable per campaign:

• No ad or affiliate module may push the ingredient list or the first instruction below the fold on a phone. The recipe wins the first screen, always.
• One tested-tools module per recipe. If a second one would be useful, the recipe is wrong.
• Every module that can earn us anything carries the disclosure sentence at the top of this page, in full, next to the links themselves.
