Method

    Place pastrami in a skillet with water or broth. Cover and steam over medium-low heat for 5 to 7 minutes until hot and tender.

    Spread spicy brown mustard on the rye.

    Pile the hot pastrami generously on four slices. Add Swiss if desired and close with the remaining rye.

    Serve immediately with pickles.
